Local Heroes Day

All Programming will be moved to Atwater starting Monday May 4

The Edward Smith Library will be closed starting May 4, 2026, for approximately 2–3 months to install a new HVAC system. We anticipate reopening in early August.

We apologize for any inconvenience this closure may cause and look forward to serving you at the Atwater Memorial Library during this time.

Event Details

Let's celebrate our first responders, learn about their jobs and explore their vehicles. Spray the hose & hit the siren!

Thank our local heroes who take care of us every day, then enjoy a Lil' Heroes ice cream sponsored by Ashley's Ice Cream.

With special guests K9 Chance and Officer Cosenza.

Registration is encouraged but not required. Rain or shine.
